Times Total Media marketing team receives 22 awards at statewide competition

Updated: Aug 12, 2022

The members of the Times Total Media marketing team will tell you they do their work to help advertisers get results -- but winning awards for it is nice too.

On August 4, the Florida Press Association hosted the annual Florida Newspaper Advertising and Marketing Executive's (FNAME) awards competition in Ponte Vedra, FL.

The ceremony was part of the Florida Media Conference where ideas were exchanged and recognition was given for excellence in various aspects of print and digital publishing.

For the first time, publishers of all sizes were competing against each other for gold, silver or bronze in the 24 categories that made up the FNAME awards.

Times Total Media received at least one award in all but 5 of the creative categories. In the online ad category, designer Ron Prouty single-handedly completed a sweep by winning a gold, silver and bronze award.

Other award winners included Dan Canoro, Nausheen Syed-Ali, Jeane Schubeck, Lisa Schillinger, Patty Langgle, Valtressa Washington and Tim Bratton.

The Times Expos team of Dave LaBell, William Deacon and Lindsay Martinez, received a silver award in the category of Best Event for the Tampa Bay Times Boat Show; and the Times Newspaper in Education (NIE) team of Jodi Pushkin and Sue Bedry received a Bronze award for the La Florida special section.

Among the many honors and reasons to celebrate, one award rose to the top: the inaugural "Lead on! Award" for outstanding leadership in Sales and Marketing which was presented to Tampa Bay Times Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Bruce Faulmann. A standing ovation was given to Bruce by the crowd: many of whom worked with Bruce on committees or in current or past positions.

Congratulations to the entire sales and marketing department who made these wins possible.
